This Sunday is the 6th Annual Molly-Dharma Run for MaxFund. This event is a motorcycle ride that starts at the Platte River Bar & Grill at 9 a.m., followed by a block party at the MaxFund shelter on 10th and Galapago at 1 p.m. There will be vendors, food, beer, and music!
We are still in need of volunteers to help with this event, particularly for set up and tear down. If you are physically capable (strong men are very much encouraged to participate–wink), we can use you! You don’t have to be a MaxFund volunteer to help; we need anyone who is willing and loves to support the MaxFund shelter and no-kill philosophy to help us make this event a success.
There is also a need for help prior to the event, for today and tomorrow. If you can help, please contact Ken Mann, who coordinates this event. He would love to hear from you!
Please share this blog and spread the word. This event is in honor of Molly, a German Shepherd who had her share of trials and tribulations before finally finding her forever home. Stories like that of Molly remind us of how a dog who has been through the unforgiving shelter system can get another chance at a long, happy life. It’s truly inspirational and worthy of such a celebratory event.
Let’s all work to make a difference for those who have been given up on by others! You will feel good by being part of something that can make a difference in the life of Denver’s shelter animals.
